Creative DirectionThe book “Flourishing Landscapes” gathers about 40 portraits of selected family businesses outside of Germany's metropolitan areas, showing the provinces as an economic pivot. Studio von Monkiewitsch undertook the creative direction and contributed empathic portraits and atmospheric images photographed by Lukas von Monkiewitsch and Alexander Schneider. Scenes and motifs from the medium-sized corporate world and from the German outskirts were rendered in a highly topical pictorial language showing a sense for contemporary aesthetic discourses. The photographs were also the focus of an exhibition that followed the book project. Book and exhibition were developed by the publishing house Deutsche Normen EDITIONEN and were supported by PricewaterhouseCoopers, DZ Bank and BDI.
